April 19th, Spagyric Pharmacopea and their Clinical Benefits
SATURN'S DAUGHTER APOTHECARY
525 3rd Ave #207
LONGMONT
I’ll be joining this year’s Embody Wellness Expo, hosted by Saturn’s Daughter Apothecary in downtown Longmont. This gathering brings together herbalists, wellness educators, artisans, and healers in a shared space for community connection, education, and celebration of the healing arts.
I'll be offering a class on Spagyric Pharmacopeia and Their Clinical Benefits, where I’ll introduce the core principles of Spagyria, its historical roots in Paracelsian medicine, and how these alchemically prepared remedies can be applied in modern clinical herbalism. This class is designed to be accessible for both practitioners and plant-curious folks looking to deepen their understanding of holistic, soul-centered medicine.
I’ll also be vending a selection of my handcrafted spagyric tinctures, available for sampling and purchase. If you’ve been curious about Spagyria or want to explore these potent remedies firsthand, this is a great opportunity to connect, ask questions, and experience the work.

This is the first of a two-part series designed for those who are new to herbalism and the art of formulation. Whether you're just beginning your journey with herbs or looking to build a stronger foundation, this class will ground you in the core principles that guide effective herbal practice.
We’ll dive into the foundational concepts of herbal actions and energetics—learning how herbs interact with the body, not just through their chemical constituents but also through their energetic qualities and affinities. You'll gain an understanding of key herbal actions (like astringent, relaxant, stimulant, and more) and the tissue states they correspond to.
This class will give you a solid framework for thinking about herbs holistically, empowering you to create formulas that truly support health and balance on a deeper level.

Building on the foundation of Actions and Energetics, this second class in the series focuses on the art and science of herbal formulation—how to combine herbs in a way that’s both thoughtful and effective. We’ll explore how to craft formulas that take into account herbal actions, energetics, and, most importantly, the unique needs of the individual.
You’ll learn core formulation strategies, including how to choose primary, supporting, and synergistic herbs, and how to balance herbs based on temperature, moisture, and tissue state. We'll walk through practical examples of how to think through herbal blends, whether you're addressing acute concerns like colds or stress, or supporting longer-term patterns like burnout or chronic inflammation.
This class is designed to help you move from knowing about individual herbs to understanding how they work together
